Aniimo Leveling Guide — Safaris, Wayfarer Titles & Promotion

Leveling Guide
Quick answer: your character levels with Safaris — earned fastest from Log – Lore, Elite Training Core Courses, the Institute Guide daily activity, and first-time catches/reports. But leveling isn't the end: title promotions gate almost everything (Held Items at Student III, Aniimo Capability Awakening at Wayfarer I, and the free Prismana Pact claim at level 40 + Wayfarer I).
Every Safaris source compared
| Activity | XP value | Repeatable | Requirement | Recommended |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Log – Lore | Fast | — | None | ✅ Priority — with main quests |
| Elite Training – Core Courses | Fast ("lots of Safaris") | Per chapter | F3 menu | ✅ Always |
| Institute Guide – Daily Activity | High | ✅ Daily | None | ✅ Every day |
| New catches + Outpost reports | High | ✅ Per species | None | ✅ Catch constantly |
| Area Collection Progress | High | ✅ | None | ✅ Chase thresholds |
| Exploration (quests, Lumin Amber, Sanctums, Alpha clears, chests, Pathfinder duels) | Medium | ✅ | Varies | ◐ Do every Alpha/Sanctum once |
| Crafting (finish Homeland items with Primegy) | Medium | ✅ | Homeland | ◐ Side income |
The game lists these in efficiency order — prioritize top-down and always do first-times before repeats.
Character Level vs Wayfarer Title vs Title Promotion vs Aniimo Level
These are four different things players confuse:
- Character Level — your Pathfinder level. Grows with Safaris. It is the ceiling for your Aniimo's levels, and higher level makes capturing high-level Aniimo easier
- Wayfarer Title — your rank ladder: Rookie → Student I/II/III → Wayfarer I/II/III → Trailblazer I/II. Each promotion raises the level cap, unlocks features and modes, grants items, and unlocks more skills
- Title Promotion — the quest to earn the next title: a Growth Story assessment with a practical test, then a Dr. Lewis quiz at the Outpost
- Aniimo Level — each creature's individual level, raised in Aniimo Management → Attributes → Level Up with EXP items (also from quests, battles and captures). If your Aniimo can't level further, your own title is the blocker
Title ladder & promotion quests
| Title | Promotion quest | Examiner / location |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | Starting title (Polaris Institute admission) | — |
| Student I | With main story | — |
| Student II | Promotion: Dewdrop Crystal's Resonance | Wally, Sea of Flowers |
| Student III | Promotion: Legacy's Protection | Jilly, Beast Fang Ridge |
| Wayfarer I | Promotion: Stardust's Blessing | Loulla, Berylline Vale, at nightfall |
| Wayfarer II | Promotion: Core's Nurture | Aster, Rosetower Woods |
| Wayfarer III | Promotion: Ancient Lumin | Wendell, Zephyrus Landbridge |
| Trailblazer I | Promotion: Meaning of Exploration | Cecelia, Tideblossom Coast |
Key unlocks named in-game: Student III → Held Items, Wayfarer I → Aniimo Capability Awakening. And the tutorial states outright: the free Prismana travels with you at level 40 + title promotion — that's the Prismana Pact claim.
How a promotion works
- When training is done, BINI #9 gets a call from Dr. Lewis
- Each promotion is a short Growth Story quest ("Veinwalker Assessment")
- A senior student or instructor gives you a practical test
- Dr. Lewis quizzes you at the Outpost
- Pass → new title, higher cap, new abilities, item rewards
Elite Training (F3)
Elite Training is your growth objective hub — its tasks hand out Safaris, Glimmer and more. Core Courses are chaptered: finish each chapter's 4 required tasks to claim the reward, and promote when you meet the chapter + level requirements.
| Chapter | Title | Location |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | First Steps with Aniimo | Forest of Falling Stars |
| 2 | Charge Into Battle! | Beast Fang Ridge (+ your Homeland) |
| 3 | Vein's Power · Song of the Echobacks | Echoback Landing |
| 4 | Potential Awakened · Pulse of the Berylline Vale | Berylline Vale |
| 5 | Proof of Trials · Dance of Flowers and Thorns | Rosetower Woods |
| 6 | To Distant Horizons · Echo of the Mysterious Keep | Zephyrus Landbridge |
| 7 | Windwild Finale · Falling Star of Tideblossom Coast | Breezy Plains |
Chapter 7 explicitly requires upgrading the Breezy Plains Branch to Prismana Radiance — the same level-6 Branch that unlocks Change Weather and Prismana Flow. Leveling and Prismana hunting share the same road.
Fastest leveling route
- Main story + Log – Lore — highest priority, unlocks everything
- Elite Training Core Courses daily — the repeatable backbone
- Institute Guide daily activity — free Safaris every day
- Catch new species constantly — first-catch reports are front-loaded
- Clear every Alpha and Sanctum once — first clears pay disproportionately
- Promote the moment your assessment is ready — the title gates the level cap, don't sit on it
Common mistakes
- Ignoring title promotions — some players grind past the assessment; the title is what raises your ceiling and unlocks Pact claims, Held Items and Awakening
- Saving Alphas — first-clear Safaris are best taken early
- Forgetting Aniimo levels are capped by your level — if an Aniimo won't level, promote your title
- Storage full — you can't catch anything (including Alphas) with a full roster; BINI #9 warns at 10 and 1 slots left
